WESGen® is a modular hydrokinetic energy technology being developed to convert the kinetic energy of naturally flowing water into useful electrical power.

Unlike conventional hydroelectric schemes, the WESGen® concept is intended to generate power from suitable flowing-water resources without requiring a dam or reservoir.

But WESGen® is about more than simply placing a turbine in water.

The technology is being developed as a modular hydrokinetic energy conversion system, capable of being adapted for deployment in different environments and, where appropriate, in conjunction with existing or purpose-built support infrastructure.
